(This course is available for immediate delivery) To sculpt a new world, we need to sculpt a new and empowering story – a guiding eco-Myth that honors both our divinity and humanness, which brings us back to loving relationship with all living things and fosters wholeness in communities.
Luisah Teish – Coming Home Through Myth
Open to the beauty and joys of life on Earth through folklore, myths and actions that empower your relationship with Mother Nature – connecting you with a spiritual awakening that is rooted in the natural world.
Remain connected-Restore your sense of wonder and healing from separation, and you will be enchanted with the life you live. You’ll also learn rituals that will help you live a modern lifestyle with more heartfelt wisdom and compassion.
Are you secretly longing to return to the magic, beauty and wonder you felt as a child exploring the mysteries of nature?
Are you interested in helping our culture tackle the environmental problems we face today?
If so, then you’ll probably be excited to learn about a fascinating adventure you can take into the depths of your psyche and our society through the transformational power of personal and collective myths.
At their deepest, myths are the stories that shape our lives. If we are shaped by mechanistic, competitive, and isolating myths, our world is devoid of beauty and meaning. We then start to exploit and destroy our natural environment, and polarize against each other rather than creating a life that’s artful, loving, and reverent.
Most of us have been born in a culture with such a dysfunctional myth – one that leads us to disconnect from nature and each other, one that perpetuates consumerism over communion, combat over collaboration, and profit over beauty.
And we’ve all paid the price, with the disintegration of our health, well-Being and communities.
How can we not only heal ourselves but our culture?
All it takes is the deep stories that shape our lives. What are our deep stories? Who are we? What are you REALLY here to do?
Because myth operates at a deep level, the answers to these questions may not always be conscious.
To sculpt a new world, we need to sculpt a new and empowering story – a guiding eco-Myth that honors our humanity and our humanity And divinity, which brings us back into loving relationships with all things and creates vibrant communities that are based upon wholeness.
Eco-The academic discipline of mythology teaches us how we can rewrite our cultural legends. However the truth is that this is not just an abstract thing, it’s also a very personal journey of transformation, healing and awakening.
Each of us live within a far too limited story – one that is based upon who we have seen ourselves to be in the past, instead of who we COULD be in the future. It’s a story in which, too often, we are fundamentally alone and living in an uncaring universe.
What if a caterpillar could create a vision for its future using only what she has been able experience and achieve? She would never dream of becoming a magnificent butterfly.
Similarly, you already have extraordinary abilities within – sacred gifts that can open entirely new possibilities for a radiant life of Love, art and greater contributions to Mother Earth and our shared destiny are the best ways to show love, compassion and artistry..
However, to realize them means transforming your myths – your conscious and subconscious stories, most of which have been programmed by family and culture.
Our minds work hard-wired to create stories out of what we see – which is why we love them so much. We are storytellers.-Generating machines, turning data from life into a coherent narrative that allows us to make sense of it all and help us navigate the world.
The problem arises when the myth your subconscious mind is creating – which is largely what you’ve inherited from society – holds you back from the next stage of your evolution (as well as contributing to the next stage of our collective evolution).
These myths deeply affect your relationship with the natural world, your community and, indeed, our entire culture’s well-being. You can shift your myths at the root level. This will also change the context in which you live.
In our personal growth work, too often we only focus on the superficial levels of our minds. We try to change our beliefs, heal emotions, and think more positively. Real transformation means actually TAKING the hero’s (or heroine’s) journey into the deeper symbols of your psyche and emerging with a new tale of your life, and beyond.
